(Portland, Oregon) - Coffee Bean International (“CBI”) - based in Northwest Portland, and considered one of the nation’s leading specialty coffee roasters - has promoted Patrick Criteser to the office of President and CEO. Criteser, previously VP of Marketing and Customer Development, is replacing out-going president Margaret Crow, who has stepped down to allow herself more time with her young family. Ms. Crow will assume the role of SVP, Customer Development, with responsibility for manage the company’s national account relationships.

Mr. Criteser joined Coffee Bean International in 2004 as Vice President of Marketing & Customer Development. Before becoming President, Mr. Criteser was responsible for managing the Company's account management teams and marketing efforts. Previously, Mr. Criteser held positions in strategic planning, business development, marketing, and operations management for Nike, Disney, and Procter & Gamble. In addition, Criteser has a strong background in venture capital finance and business development. Mr. Criteser holds an M.B.A. from Harvard University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Washington.
